2012 Boy's Awards

Wimborne AC'’s dominancy of the junior 1 mile run continued for another year with four of the six awards on offer being won by their highly respected young athletes. First to finish, and retaining his title from last year, was Piers Copeland finishing in a time of 5 minutes and 28 seconds; a time which was just 3 seconds off last year’s best - despite the very soft ground caused by the heavy overnight rain. The second runner to finish was Bournemouth AC'’s Glenn Balfour, with Thomas Bourne coming in a close third.

In the girl’s race it was Grace Copeland who came in first, equalling her time from last year and retaining her title for another 12 months. Fellow team mate Maddie Williams followed Grace across the line with Alivia Gillard coming in third.
